The list of Zimbabwe’s most influential women is compiled by the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe (ICDZ) in partnership with Women Corporate Directors Network.
ICDZ acting Chief Executive Officer, Proctor Nyemba commended the women for extending their work and inspiring other women in marginalized areas.
The women are selected on the basis of their work as it impacts communities and the list is drawn from all socio-economic sectors
The list was further endorsed by Professional Director and Government Solutions both from Canada, Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance and Institute of Corporate Governance Zimbabwe.
The list followed invitations to members of the public to nominate influential women in business and communities. The nominees were then taken through rigorous background checks to establish their worth until the long list was whittled down to 50.
“These women have conformed to global change; they have inspired even men to see the potential of women in business,” said Nyemba.
