MASVINGO – Misheck Chenjerai (52) is appealing for US16 000 from well-wishers to undergo an open heart surgery in India after he was diagnosed with a heart structural problem. Chenjerai of Village 23, Mushandike under Chief Charumbira, Masvingo told The Mirror that he is struggling to raise the money. He said US$800 is for evaluation and US$14 500 is for the surgery, double valve replacement and three weeks accommodation.

The surgery should be done at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram in India”I was diagnosed with this heart disease on August 7, 2024, at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare and I was referred to Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram in India for further management.“I am appealing to the well-wishers and other relevant stakeholders to assist me with funds so that I can afford the costs of the surgery, “he said.
