Masvingo family appeals for help as property is gutted by fire

MASVINGO – A Masvingo man and his wife, who work as vendors, are appealing for help after all their property was gutted by fire.
Freedom Bhoko and his wife Elizabeth, who reside at 26 McGhee in Rhodhene, Masvingo, said the fire started in the bedroom of their two-roomed cottage and burnt all their property-the bed, wardrobe, clothes, foodstuff, savings and documents.
They are now stranded and appealing for assistance to buy food and blankets.
The couple has three children aged 18, 12 and seven years.
“Everything that we had was destroyed, and we are stuck. We have no food and blankets in this cold weather. We are appealing to well-wishers to bail us out,” said Bhoko.
