Masvingo businessman wins OKmart Mega prize

MASVINGO – Masvingo businessman, Tumai Ndlovu is the 2022 winner of the OKmart Mega Money Maker Promotion grand prize.

His name was announced at the draw conducted at OKmart Hillside in Harare on September 17, 2022 and he was presented with his prize of a sizzling Hyundai H100 at Okmart in Masvingo on Friday.

Present at the handover ceremony on Friday were OKmart marketing manager, Dennis Chagonda, OKmart Brand Manager, Rangarirai Bamu and OKmart Masvingo Branch Manager Shingi Masendu.

The top prize comes to Masvingo for the first time after Harare dominated the promotion since its inauguration in 2016. Ndlovu is a faithful customer at OK Mart Masvingo.

The competition ran for six weeks and each week two luck winners walked away with ZWL$300 000 cash vouchers each and this saw ZWL$4 800 000 vouchers being given out during the competition.

This year the competition ran under the theme; ‘Buy Bulk, Save & Win’ and OK Mart Masvingo which is a fairly new branch snatched the prize.

Ndlovu is over the moon for winning the biggest prize in the competition.

“I’m excited. I am humbled but feel blessed to raise Masvingo’s flag high by winning the biggest prize at this year’s Mega Money Maker.

“I want to tell fellow Masvingo residents that it is possible to win in this competition. During the six-week promotion I bought bulk products like mealie meal, cooking oil, vegetables and meat and accumulated points,” said Ndlovu.

OKmart Marketing Manager, Dennis Chagonda said it was exciting that Masvingo grabbed the top prize which was dominated by Harare and Bulawayo.

The prize will give confidence to other customers in Masvingo that they can also win, said Chagonda.

“As OKmart we exist to make happiness tangible by planting smiles on our employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders and the communities we operate in. Okmart exists to create theatres of happiness,” said Chagonda.
