Zvishavane – Zvishavane Town Council is constructing a massive market that will accommodate 600 vendors, The Mirror has been told.
The market which will cost US$436 000 is courtesy of support from Fc Platinum Holdings and the construction is being carried out by Boltrec Engineering.
Zvishavane acting town secretary Mungororo Mazai said he expected the market which is located at Mandava to be completed by September this year.
Mazai said the construction of the market became necessary because of lack for space for vendors in the small mining and it is going to accomodate 600 vendors thats also revenue for the local authority. The vendors have also been unwilling to pay for stalls to council without proper structures.
“The market is now in its final stages,” said Mazai.
