Masomere set to bounce back at Gusha Bhora

MUTARE-Nomadic coach Luke ‘Vahombe’ Masomere is set to bounce back into football business at former PSL side Mutare City Rovers with well-placed sources saying the self-proclaimed football doctor has been earmarked to replace fired Kennedy ‘Bokande’Kachara.
Masomere who has been be into mining business since 2019 has been roped in at Gusha Bhora as the side seek a quick return to the more fashionable league.
Masomere was not reachable for comment.
Gusha Bhora spokesperson Clayton Masekesa said the club is yet to finalize the deal.
A source close to the club, however, told Mirror Sport that Masomere will be in charge of the municipal-owned side being assisted by former club captain Chasten Ndongonda. Former Manica Diamonds goalkeeper’s coach Peter Masibera was roped in as the goalkeeper’s coach.
“We are yet to finalize the deal. A press statement will be issued between today and tomorrow regarding the issue,” said Masekesa.
Masomere has coached several clubs in Zimbabwe. He won the championship with Amazulu in 2003. He was the coach when Shabanie Mine won the 2013 BancABC Super 8 Cup after beating the FC Platinum in the final.The nomadic coach also coached Border Strikers, How Mine, Masvingo United , Shabanie Mine and Harare giants Dynamos among other clubs.
In 2018, he was named coach of the year in the Zifa Eastern Region.
Masomere was then fired by Manica Diamonds in 2019, a club he had coached since it’s formation in 2017when they played in the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One. He helped them gain promotion after winning the 2018 championship race with seven games to spare.
