Marvel Hardware Express opens in Masvingo

MASVINGO – There is a new hardware kid on the block in Masvingo selling hardware, veterinary accessories and specialising in chicks of all kinds.
Marvel Hardware Express is run by a passionate daughter of a tobacco farmer, Marvelous Rambire whose heart is embedded in agriculture.
Marvel Hardware opened its doors at number 29 Shuvai Mahofa Street in Masvingo two weeks ago.
Available at Marvel Hardware are all hardware requirements, veterinary medicines, dipping chemicals, broiler chicks, road runner chicks and chicken feeds.
The motto of the business is ‘Crafting spaces, nurturing lives’ and explaining the motto, Marvelous said crafting spaces is the creation of an operating space which is accommodative and by nurturing lives, they will be taking care of animals and vegetation.
Marvelous who is a general manager at a local hotel told The Mirror in an interview that she decided to open a hardware which also specialises in agricultural requirements because her real passion is farming. She says her father, Isaac Rambire is a successful tobacco farmer.
Before she decided to get into this line of business, Marvelous was already a farmer as she was accommodated to do her own agricultural activities at the father’s farm.
“I opened this business using money I earned after selling cattle from my agricultural activities. I invested some of the money in money clubs (mukando).
“Some products at the hardware are brick force, damp course, knapsack, shovels, gum boots, small accessories like keys padlocks, tape measure, tying wire etc,” said Marvelous.
She said that although the business has started off as a general hardware, its direction will be determined by demand.
“We invite customers to try us and experience our personalised service,” she added.
Rambire is a trained network marketer. She went to Bulawayo Hotel School for her first diploma and worked for a number of large hotels both in and outside Zimbabwe.
She worked for African Sun Hotels for 11 years and rose to become a manager.
She also worked as a general manager at Protea Hotels in Namibia for two years. She joined Rainbow Tourism Group for four years.
She is a devout Catholic and an avid Rotarian.
