ZVISHAVANE – A man working for Sabi Gold Mine in Zvishavane has dragged his wife to court to seek her eviction from his company house after he allegedly found two condoms in her handbag.
Patrick Munenge told Zvishavane Magistrate Evia Matura that his wife Rutendo Shumba came home late from work recently and in her handbag were two condoms.

The Mirror attended the court session.
Shumba failed to explain the presence of the condoms in her bag, said Munenge.
He said that he had already divorced the wife but she was refusing to move away from the maternal home. Shumba works in a bar at Paramount and Munenge said she is now in the habit of pitching up at home late.

Shumba however disputed the claims and said that her husband was getting instructions from his parents who wanted the wife to stay in the rural areas with them.
She said that Munenge was trying to chase her so that he could marry another wife. She also accused Munenge of failing to look after his children.
Magistrate Matura dismissed the application and said that Shumba cannot be evicted from home since there are children who need to be looked after.
