Makoni MP fined $40 000 for selling expired products

CHIKOMBA— MDC MP for Makoni Central, David Tekeshe (56) has been fined $40 000 for selling expired products at his grocery shop in Chivhu.
David Tekeshe (56) of 270 Rhodes Chivhu is the proprietor of Tekeshe Supermarket.
Chivhu Provincial Magistrate Sharon Nxogo found Tekeshe guilty and fined him $40 000.
On October 9, 2020 detectives at Chivhu received information that Tekeshe was selling expired food stuffs and some food stuffs without proper labelling. Police recovered various items including soya chunks, madora, cornflakes, orange drinks, matemba and various others.
