Madyangove tops Chivi Grade 7 results

MASVINGO – Madyangove Primary School has the best Grade 7 school results in Chivi district judging by the number of students with six straight units and pass rate percentage.
These are results for the 2023 October examinations released by the Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (Zimsec) recently.
Madyangove has 14 candidates (10 girls and four boys) with six units each. The school outperformed most schools in Masvingo district. It posted an impressive 93.2 % pass rate.
Fifty-nine of the 206 candidates scored between seven and 10 units. Fifteen had seven units, 20 scored eight units, 11 had nine units and 13 scored 10 units.
Last year, the school had an impressive 91.6 % pass rate. Three candidates scored six units.
School head Joubert Maramba said he is happy with the results.
“We performed well and our results are higher than most urban schools. We always strive to the best,” he said.
Makovere South Primary is second with two candidates scoring six units. Only one students scored between seven and 10 units. The school had 60 candidates.
Roman Catholic run Berejena Primary is tied with Bvute, Chidyamakono, Davira and Denga Primary schools with one pupil each scoring six units.
Berejena and Bvute have six students each scoring between seven and 10 units. Chidyamakono has five students with Davira and Denga having four students scoring between seven and 10 units each.
