BIKITA- Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) debutants Bikita Minerals Football Club (FC) chairperson Mike Mushava is confident that renovations at Lithium Stadium will be completed before the league kick starts next month.

Mushava told The Mirror that some of the renovations include constructing changing rooms, toilets, perimeter wall and a terrace. The renovations are yet to begin.

“From the look of things, we hope to use our home ground, the Lithium Stadium right from the very first match because the renovations are not much and am sure by the start of the season, we will be ready. A few renovations need to be done, we haven’t started yet but everything is in order. The works to be done include constructing changing rooms, toilets, perimeter wall and terracing,” said Mushava.

He previously indicated that the team will use Gibbo Stadium in Triangle for its home games should the league begin before renovations are complete. Bikita Minerals is bankrolled by the Chinese-run Sino Mine Resource Group that is operating the lithium rich Bikita Mine.

The Faustino Mugeji coached side is the only team from Masvingo Province plying in the PSL after Triangle FC was relegated to the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Eastern Region Division One League.
