ZVISHAVANE- Jaison Muvevi the owner the biggest gold elution plant in Zvishavane, Light City Elution plant is on the run after having shot a prophet and police officers in Wedza on Friday.

The plant is located at CG one of Shabanie mine properties where gold is processed for those who does leaching.

National Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed of the incident and said the suspect is driving a new shape Toyota Allion, registration number AFW7641 and white in colour.

Muvevi is allegedly said that he visited an apostolic sect gathering in Wedza where he reportedly shot dead a prophet.

After the incident he reportedly turned his weapon on police officers who had reacted to the crime scene and allegedly shot dead the Officer-In-Charge of Wedza police station.

He also shot another policeman who was part of the reaction team and critically injured him.

The suspect is reported to have driven his vehicle to Mukamba Business Centre where he shot dead another person before driving away to an unknown destination.

Asst Comm Nyathi warned members of the public to approach the suspect with caution and urged anyone with information to report to the nearest police station.
