Land developer Smelly faces assault charges

Gweru – Prominent Midlands land developer, Smelly Dube has been reported to Police for allegeldy assaulting another land holder, Mugeza Hove.

Dube who is a land mogul with properties in Shurugwi, Gweru, Zvishavane and Bulawayo is the managing director of River Valley Properties.

Allegations are that Dube saw Hove in the city center in Gweru on Friday and she disembarked from her car and went and assaulted Hove who was walking along the street. It is also reported that Dube attempted to push Hove into her car.

Hove and Dube have for years been fighting over Heirtfortshare Farm in Gweru.

Hove’s lawyer Thomas Militao of Militao Law Chambers confirmed the incident to The Mirror. He said that the matter has been reported under RRB number 4992481.

Dube reffered all questions to her spokesperson.

“Vanhu ve Mirror inini ndakati mubate spokesperson wangu,”said Dube before hanging up Midlands Police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Ethel Mukwende said she has not yet received the report.
“I can confirm that my client was assaulted by Dube on Friday at around 3pm outside Cabs building. She stopped assaulting Hove and went away when people started to gather around,” said Militao.

Militao said no arrests have been made so far but he will follow up to make sure justice. https://masvingomirror.com
