Kwenda tops Chikomba O Level results

CHIKOMBA—Methodist Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) run Kwenda High School has the best November 2023 O Level pass rate in Chikomba District with an impressive 97.6 %.
Results seen by The Mirror show that only five schools recorded pass rates above 50% while the least school has a 34% pass rate.
Kwenda had 166 of its 170 candidates passing five plus subjects. School head Andrew Chiwenga said the results are a result of discipline, commitment, as well as the hard work of teachers and students.
“We are happy to be the best school in the district. I would like to give thanks to all our teachers for their excellent hard work. In addition, I can say all the good results are through hard work, discipline, and commitment,” said Chiwenga
Daramombe High School is second with a 96% pass rate and 179 students scoring five subjects and above. St Francis of Assisi recorded a 94% pass rate with 164 candidates who managed to have five subjects and above.
Wiltshire High recorded an 88, 1% pass rate and had 52 candidates with five subjects and above. St Luke Jemedza has an 84, 9% pass rate and 79 students who garnered 5 subjects and above.
Ernest Kandungere Secondary School is sixth with a 44, 4% pass rate and only four students passing five subjects and above. Riversdale has a 43, 9% pass rate and 29 students that passed five subjects and above. Chideme is eighth with a 39% pass rate and nine students that passed five subjects and above.
Marondamashanu Secondary School is ninth with a 38% pass rate and 14 students passing five subjects and above. Chisangano Secondary is tenth with 34% pass rate and 12 students that passed five subjects and above.
