CENTRAL REGION– Filabusi-based Kent Mine FC is appealing for sponsorship from the corporate world as it seeks to ply its trade in the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Division 2 League.
Club team manager Amon Sibanda told Mirror Sport that the outfit is currently playing social soccer with hopes of securing sponsorship to meet expenses as affiliation fees.
“We are playing social soccer and our hope is to secure sponsorship so that we can join the Division 2 League. The club needs financial support to meet ZIFA affiliation fees, pay referees for matches and boost the squad by signing new players.
“Well-wishers can also chip in with other resources like fuel as the team will be playing away matches. We appeal to those willing to assist us to come forward so that we fulfill our dream of playing professional football,” he said.
Kent Mine FC was formed in 2015 by Sibanda, Melusi Ncube and Thembelani Hlabangani and has been playing in the social league since then.
