JUST IN: Police nab notorious Chivhu-Beatrice detour robbers

CHIVHU -Police officers manning a roadblock between Chivhu and Beatrice have arrested notorious robbers who break locks and tear tents on haulage trucks on detour roads at night.

Mash East Police spokesperson, Inspector Tendai Mwanza said he is yet to get the report.

Impeccable sources told The Mirror that the robbers were caught at around 2am carrying stolen goods and were then taken to Mbare for more recoveries.

The sources also said that the number of truck robberies on detour roads is increasing.

On Friday, a Harare bound malaicha, Paul Chinoda who was detained by bribe demanding Police officers in Masvingo from 6am to 7pm had part of his delivery consignment stolen at 2am at the 81km peg between Chivhu and Beatrice.

The robbers stole a four plate Univa stove and five sacks with shoes, clothes and food stuffs. https://masvingomirror.com
