Hippo tops Chiredzi A Level results

CHIREDZI-A Tongaat Hullets-run school, Hippo Valley High has this year again produced the best Zimsec A Level results in Chiredzi District with a 95, 83% pass rate.
Hippo was again the best last year with a pass rate of 96,46%. The slight drop in the pass rate has been attributed to Covid 19 lockdowns.
Chiredzi Schools District Inspector, Petronella Nyangwe confirmed the district results to The Mirror.
Hippo High head Luckson Gondo praised his staff for their dedication to work.
“My hope is that the school competes with the best schools in the country,” said Gondo.
The best student at the school who was doing science subjects got 19 points and six students got 15 points.
Christian College had the second best pass rate at 94%. This is a firm improvement from the 75% pass rate that the school achieved last year.
Chiredzi Government is the third best school with 93% pass rate up from 80% the previous year.
Chibwedziva in Chiredzi rural had the fourth best pass rate at 85% having dropped from 92% the previous year.
Mufakose’s pass rate sits on number 5 with 84,54%. Chilonga Secondary School is on number 6 with 83% pass rate while Malipati the only public boarding school in the district attained 80% pass rate and is on number 7..
Terry Goss sits on number 8 with 79, 80% whilst Mkwasine Secondary school is on number 9 with 77% pass rate. Mupinga dropped drastically from number 3 in 2020 to number 10 in 2021. In 2020 it attained 92% passrate whilst in 2021 it dropped to 70%.
Alpha Mpapa is on number 11 with 69,77% pass rate while Hlanganani dropped from number 2 last year to number 12. The pass rate nosedived from 94% to 66,67%.
Mhlanguleni had the lowest results at number 13 with a 50% passrate.https://masvingomirror.com/
