Harare Show attendance trebles to 7 785 on 3rd day

Harare – Attendance at the Zimbabwe Agriculture Show (ZAS) running at the Show grounds more than trebled on the third day from 2 308 on Tuesday to 7 785 on Wednesday, according to ZAS spokesperson Tawonga Miriyoni.

The attendance is a massive bumper harvest from the 1500 visitors recorded on the first day on Monday.

Meanwhile the number of exhibitors rose from 477 on Tuesday to 488. There were 410 exhibitors when ZAS issued its last Press statement before the start of the show.

However, one of the major highlights of the show, The Zimbabwe -Botswana Business forum was supposed was cancelled.

Miriyoni confirmed the cancelation to The Mirror. He also added that the show had gone for the third day without any crimes being committed. Crime and loss of children at the show are some of the incidences that usually blight the issue.

“There was supposed to be the Zimbabwe-Botswana Business Forum and it’s unfortunate that it had to be cancelled. I am however, happy to report that again we have not received any crimes on the third day of show. The number of exhibitors as of yesterday increased from 477 to 488,” said Miriyoni.
