Hailstorm wreaks havoc at Gresham Primary

ZVISHAVANE – Gresham Primary School in Zvishavane suspended lessons on Wednesday afternoon after a hailstorm left a trail of destruction.
Roofing materials, furniture, text books, and classroom blocks were severely damaged by the hailstorm.
School head Crispen Moyo confirmed the matter to The Mirror. He said no pupils were injured.
“A hailstorm left a trail of destruction at our school. Huge trees were also uprooted. We have submitted our report to the responsible authorities. All pupils are safe,” he said.
Zvishavane District Development Coordinator (DDC) Darlington Chokore said he assessed the damage together with the District Civil Protection Unit (CPU).
