GZU Tourism student crowned Miss Masvingo

Masvingo – Nyaradzo Mhere (23) a fourth year Tourism and Hospitality student at GZU was crowned Miss Masvingo 2022 at a pageant held at the Chevron hotel on December 23, 2022.
Mhere takes over from Angeline Zhou who was crowned Miss Masvingo in 2021. Tadiwanashe Makasi (17) was crowned 1st princess and Paidamoyo Mayanga (20) scooped the 2nd princess crown. All models walked away with various prizes.
The competition brought together 15 models from four districts namely Chiredzi, Masvingo, Gutu and Bikita.
“I am happy to be crowned queen. This has been a blessed year for me and l am grateful. I will use this platform to further the fight for girl rights,” said Mhere.
The sky has been the limit for Mhere as she managed to win the Miss Personality title at the Miss Carnival Masvingo 2022. She also scooped the second princess crown in Harare at the inaugural Goddess of Beauty Zim Queen pageant.
With Alchemy being the main artist at the event, Shah Rajah, Skotane dance group, DarkRose and Khule Bheka provided entertainment.
The event was sponsored by DC Entertainment, PNP Global, QATC Capital, Absolute Security, Lulu events, Zimpast, Nyuni lodge and Chevron Hotel.
Pageant director Donovan Takaendisa, told The Mirror that he is grateful to the people of Masvingo for making this event a success.
