Gwanda author publishes first book

GWANDA – Twenty- two-year-old Gwanda writer, Thembinkosi Ndlovu has released his first published book.
What happened to us; is a book that examines how relationships, be they in business, church or personal are destroyed. It then proffers ways of getting past such relationships and other wrongdoings.
“My passion for writing started when I was doing Grade 4 at Nhanha Primary School in Gwanda South. It is a dream that come true and I am deeply humbled by the support I got from the community,” said Ndlovu.
The book launch happened at Gwanda High School.
“I wrote this book based on my personal experiences, and I hope it will benefit those who are in need of change. I have written three books but What happened to us is my first publication. My second book is currently being reviewed; it should be available on book shelves in a few months,” he said.
Ndlovu said his favourite authors as a youth were Barbara Makhalisa and Tsitsi Dangarembga.
“Dangarembga, I want to be a known worldwide author, and this book defines the starting point for my journey in the world of literature,” he said.
Beyond that, he is a content creator with a strong desire to share the gospel of Christ through his books and films, and is also a born-again, spirit-filled pastor at Living Waters Grace Chapel.
Ndlovu who went to Nhanha Primary and Manama Mission composed poems for prize-giving day ceremonies when he was in primary school. He graduated from Handy Design Academy with a diploma in video and editing, and he currently works with Gwanda Magazine Media.
