MASVINGO – The Minister of Local Government and Public Works, July Moyo, has approved a ZWL$5,5billion 2023 annual budget for Gutu Rural District Council (RDC).

The budget increased from ZWL$3 billion in 2022 to ZWL$5.5 billion this year.

Gutu RDC CEO, Alexander Mtembwa confirmed the development to the Mirror.

 “It is pleasing to note that our budget has been approved by the Minister and the approval has taken place so early in the year. Key capital projects include the completion of construction projects at Mandawi, Mushayavanhu and Masirivindi clinics and a classroom block at Gorondondo Primary School,” said Mtembwa.

In 2022 the local authority completed the construction of Makumbe clinic in Ward 8 and Muchekayaora Clinic in Ward 15.
