MASVINGO – A-45-year- old man who was a domestic worker at Goollywoop Farm in Gutu was found dead on Tuesday last week after having been seen using his salary to drink beer at a Mpamba Business Center.

Godwin Mudiwa (45) went missing for four days before his bruised body was found in tall grass near a stream. Masvingo Police Spokesperson Kudakwashe Dhewa could not confirm the case.

Sources told The Mirror that Mudiwa went missing last week on July 15, 2022 after a beer drink at Mpamba. It is said that he received his salary on the same day from his employer Musiiwa Magura plus some money from a money club that he was a member to and this meant that he had a lot of cash on him.

Magura said Mudiwa was seen drinking beer at the shops with the local people and he never returned home.

Magura and others conducted a search on Saturday but they couldn’t find him. Magura filed a report with the Police at Mpandawana on Monday morning but got a report from home a little while later that the deceased’s body had been found.

The body had injuries to the neck and bruises all over. A postmortem was done at Masvingo Provincial Hospital and Mudiwa was buried at his rural home in Mukwirimba Village in Zaka.
