CHISUMBANJE -Renovations at Greenfuel Arena Stadium are almost complete with Greenfuel PVT Limited Company confident of completing the outstanding work by end of this month.

Club chairperson Fredson Moyo told The Mirror Sport that they are targeting to complete renovations by month end.

“We are happy with the progress so far. The pitch is sorted. We are now working on dressing rooms and ablution facilities. We are looking forward to completing the remaining tasks by the end of this month,” said Moyo.

The renovations started in October last year. The scope of work at the stadium included a perimeter wall around the stadium, ablution facilities, changing rooms, and a media box and water drainage.

Moyo said the club is going to invite the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) First Instant Board (FIB) for inspection once they are through.

“We have covered almost all of the areas that we feel needed attention. We are very confident that the facility will meet the set guidelines.

“We will check our progress by mid month and we Hope to invite the FIB for inspection by month- end,” he said.

Meanwhile Coach Lloyd ‘Samaita’ Mutasa said he is ready for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and is targeting a top five finish.

“I am impressed by the shape of the team when defending but I still want to see the reaction speed on transition and the compactness of the team when attacking. The new signings are jellying well with others and hopefully we will be a formidable side when the season begins.

“The team’s target is to finish in the top five but as the technical team and players we always want to be the best hence we are saying that we have a surprise package for football lovers when the season commences,” said Mutasa.
