Mberengwa – The Great Dyke Academy, a private school established at Mberengwa Turnoff in Mberengwa has appointed a board of directors of five members.
The board whose key mandate is to bridge the gap between parents and the school was announced on April 26 2021. The board will also deal with governance issues.
The chairperson of the board is Timothy Msindazi, vice chairperson Charity Chabwanda, secretary Daniel Muhwededzi and two board members Deffny Mpofu and Vanos Tsikira.
Great Dyke runs from Grade 1 to 7 and it has an enrolment of 57 pupils.
Banabasi Marambire, one of the shareholders confirmed the appointments to The Mirror. He said one of the missions of the school is to ensure Mberengwa rural has good education for rural kids just as that found in the cities.
“Great Dyke AB Academy has an administration that is determined to bring quality infrastructure and achieve good education through modern teaching skills,” said Marambire.
