MASVINGO – The Public Service Commission (PSC) has appointed 146 substantive school heads in Masvingo Province.

It has also appointed 106 substantive deputy heads. Notable among the appointments in Stern Mutsambiwa who becomes the substantive head of Silveira High School after his demotion from head to deputy head when he was transferred from Gokomere High a few years ago.

The development is confirmed in a memo dated February 15, 2023 from the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education spokesperson Taungana Ndoro referred questions to PSC. 

Efforts to get a comment from the PSC were futile.

Masvingo Christian School deputy head Tephinas Mangono is now Dewure High head. Marjorie Marumanadzo who has been the acting head at Mukaro High was appointed the school’s substantive head. 

Vic High deputy head Arlington Matsilele is now the head of Makanaka High while Ndarama High deputy Johnson Gondongwe has been appointed substantive head at Mataruse High.
