CHIKOMBA – Police are looking for four suspected goat thieves who fled from a roadblock on January 12, leaving a Toyota Hiace registration number AEU 1432 packed with 26 live goats and five sheep.
The incident happened at the 29km peg along Harare-Masvingo Road.

Mash East Police spokesperson Simon Chazovachii confirmed the incident to The Mirror and asked farmers who lost goats and sheep to come and identify.
In 2016, thieves using a Toyota Hiace stole 40 goats from Takaona Farm 98 in Nyazvidzi, Gutu and the suspects are still at large
The Mirror is informed that on January 12, 2022 Police officers who were on patrol ordered a white Toyota Hiace to stop but it sped off.

This led to a chase until the suspected thieves stopped after running out of fuel. They jumped out of the vehicle and fled leaving the Toyota Hiace with the animals.
Farmers who lost their goats can contact Beatrice Police Station in Mash East.
