BUHERA – Former Acting Chief Chimombe, Causemore Chimombe was elected Chairman for Buhera District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC), Chipinge Times has established.
Chimombe who was acting Chief Chimombe for seven years from 2011-2018 polled 2 535 votes against his two rivals Davy Jakarasa who polled 1 069 votes and Zvenyika Machokoto 129 votes.
Chamunorwa Mudzimu is the new vice chairman after he defeated Kingston Mupamhanga.
Ten posts were not contested in the elections while 13 were contested.
