MASVINGO – Former St Stanislaus primary and secondary students in Masvingo North have donated to their old schools.
Former St Stanislaus Students Association (FOSSA) treasurer Leah Mazvimba told The Mirror that her organisation donated a sewing machine, 25 Mathematics sets, 25 scientific calculators, 10 laboratory scales, 1siren, sanitary pads and 120 textbooks from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to Grade 7.
Currently FOSSA is working on a project to fence the school and the organisation will be buying fence, poles, cement and a gate. They have already paid deposit for the fence. It will also be repainting the school, repairing windows, ceilings and desks.
Mazvimba noted that the standards at the school have drastically dropped.
St Stanislaus headmaster told The Mirror that he thanked all FOSSA members and highly appreciates the assistance.
