MASVINGO – Former Zanu PF senator for Masvingo, Mbuya Monica Chigudu (90) has died.
Mbuya Chigudu died at around 6am at Masvingo 24Hour Medical Centre in Zimre Park today.

Her daughter, Sally confirmed the death in an interview with The Mirror and mourners are gathered at her house along Chigudu Street in Mucheke Medium Density Suburb in Masvingo.
Burial arrangements are yet to be announced.

“It’s true our mother has passed on. She left a gap that no one can fill,” said Sally.
Mbuya Chigudu succumbed to High Blood pressure and diabetes. She was admitted at Target Kopje 24Hour Medical Center last night before being transferred to Zimre Park where she died.

She is survived by six children, one boy and five girls.
