Former MP Mutomba donates to PWDs

BUHERA – Former Zanu PF legislator for Buhera North, Senator William Mutomba has donated food hampers and mattresses to People with Disabilities (PWD) and the elderly in Buhera.
Manicaland Provincial Chairperson for PWDs, Crimson Mangwiro told Chipinge Times that the donations have been ongoing since August 2023.
“Senator Mutomba gave food hampers to the Buhera Disability Network Trust last week. We donated the hampers to PWDs and the elderly in wards 5, 6, 7,8,10, 11, 13 and 22.
“He also donated mattresses to students living with disabilities at Hande Resource Unit Center. Students at the center also received food hampers,” he said.
He added that there are over 5000 PWDs with autism, visual impairment, hearing impairment, amputees, mental health conditions and intellectual disability in the district.
Mutomba said his desire is to assist the less privileged. He also urged the business community to assist the less privileged.
Mangwiro appealed to other stakeholders to assist them with transport to reach PWDs in areas as Mutiusinazita, Romorehoto, Chirozva, Betera, Muzokomba and Masasa.
