BULAWAYO- Fire Dust Control Africa (FDCA) was the 2023 overall Best foreign exhibitor at the Mining, Engineering and Transport (Mine Entra) expo held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo last week.
The South Africa-based company specialising in advanced fire detection and suppression systems was one of nine foreign exhibitors. It received an award and certificate for coming tops.
The expo was under the theme: Accelerate Economic Transformation through Mineral Beneficiation.
FDCA Business Development and Marketing Manager Alec Nyaumwe confirmed the award to Two Nations. He said that they were excited to have won the accolade at their first Mine Entra exhibition.
“We feel recognized for our efforts. The award will motivate us as we grow. Apart from the award, we received many prospective customers at our stand and this speaks of a bright future,” he said.
The expo is organised by ZITF, the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development and the Chamber of Mines.
ZITF Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nicholas Ndebele said 169 exhibitors participated in this expo.
“We had 169 direct exhibitors. Nine were foreign exhibitors from countries like China, South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana and Australia,” he said.
