Father deserts family over albino kids

Sydney Ncube

ZVISHAVANE – A man from Kromdraii in Mimosa Mine (rural) Zvishavane has deserted his wife and three children because two the kids were born with albinism.
The two boys aged five and six are not going to school because their mother Polite Nyoni cannot afford. The third child, a girl is not living with albinism and has been accepted by the father and therefore staying with her paternal grandmother in Shurugwi.
The boys need sun screen lotion and there is no food at home.
The mother is appealing for help to look after the two boys who are currently in the hands of Dourt Matilda Majoni’s 4 Girls Focus Trust.
4 Girls Focus Trust focuses on interventions and strengthening community development and empowerment through linkages and networking locally and internationally.

Speaking to The Mirror Majoni said the father deserted the family almost a year now as he does not accept albinism.
Majoni said any well-wishers willing to assist should come forward as the situation needs urgent attention
“The husband failed to accept the condition of the two children who are living with albinism and deserted the family. The children aren’t going to school and there is barely any food in the home. The community is hostile to people living with albinism and its therefore difficult to get sympathies here.

“My appeal is well-wishers who can support the children to get a place at school, school fees, food for the family and clothing. Any kind of help for the family. Sun screen lotions for the boys, antibacterial bath soap
Their mother’s contact is 0774284377 and well-wishers can also drop donations at the trust offices # 4 Girls Focus Trust Office D3 Chiedza Hall, Mandava Zvishavane.https://masvingomirror.com
