MASVINGO – A Lower Gweru family is looking for a family member, a girl who disappeared in 2006 when she was only 17 and has not been seen since then.

Ottilia Gwizi is said to have left Bafana Village under Chief Sogwala for Masvingo with a woman identified as Phephelaphi Ncube in 2006 to look for a job as a maid.

Gwizi’s aunt Jane Moyo who is based in South Africa made an emotional appeal on Facebook last week asking for information that could lead to the whereabouts of the girl before asking The Mirror to assist by publishing the case.

She said that Ncube indicated to her that Gwizi eloped with a boyfriend in 2007 and she hasn’t heard from her since then.

The Mirror’s efforts to get in touch with Ncube were futile.

“As a family, we are appealing for information that could lead to the whereabouts of Ottilia,” said Moyo.

Moyo told The Mirror that she usually gets to see things in dreams and she has of late been dreaming about her sister’s daughter lying on a deathbed.

Those with information can call Gwizi on her Whatsapp number +27782323480. https://masvingomirror.com
