MUTARE-Zimbabwe Women Soccer League side Faith Drive Queens Academy has loaned three of it’s best players to Zambian top flight club Green Buffaloes FC on a year long loan.
The deal came after winger Alice Moyo (23), defender Cathrine Gwangwara (19) and striker Bethel Kondo (17) had a successful trial with the 2022 Cosafa Women’s Club Champions Green Buffaloes FC.
Faith Drive Queens Academy coach Admire ‘ Ngangira’ Mahachi hailed the move and predicted the trio could scale dizzy heights.
“ I am very happy for the girls. I am very excited that they have reached this level. I wish them the best. If they remain disciplined and focused they will go far. There is still room for improvement,” said Mahachi.
Mahachi acknowledged that there is a huge gap that the three have left at Faith Drive Queens Academy and he said his plans are to close the gap by introduction of young players from their Division One side.
“The trio have left a big gap but I am trying my level best to replace it with junior players who were playing division one football last season,” he said.
Kondo who joined Faith Drive Queens Academy in 2016 as one of the youngest players told Mirror Sport that her mission is to maximize the opportunity and come out a better player.
“We have been training for a week now and we train once a day. My target is to make it into first team
I also want to work very hard and improve my life through soccer,” she said.
