CHIREDZI – Econet is making arrangements to pay school fees for four Zaka children whose mother, Muchanyara Munodya was attacked and lost both hands to hyenas.
The children’s father was also injured during the attack.
Econet Chiredzi area manager, Melody Nyazvidza confirmed the company’s plans at Camp David Lodge where Lions Club handed over prosthetic hands to Munodya. The handover took place on Saturday.
Nyazvidza said she learned about the tragic incident through Zaka Econet brand ambassador, Callisto Chinhoyi.
“We were advised about the unfortunate incident which befell this Zaka family and we are making arrangements to pay school fees for the victim’s children,” said Nyazvidza.
