Shurugwi – A general hand at the newly opened Zvamaunje Clinic in Ward 16, Shurugwi North who was fired for allegedly presenting fake certificates during a job interview is now suing Tongogara Rural District Council (RDC) for not paying her salaries for seven months.

Jenifer Mashoko’s certificates were allegedly discovered to be fake by a nurse at the hospital. Sources said that a human resources manager at Tongogara RDC who has since been fired recruited Shoko who came third in the interviews ahead for an interviewee who came first.

The said human resources manager was nabbed by ZAAC over corruption allegations.

Mashoko was allegedly suspended from work after her case came out in the open but disregarded the suspension and continued going to work.

Tongogara RDC chairman Golden Kapeta told a full council meeting on Monday Mashoko took the local authority to court. He however, said although Mashoko’s case should be against Government which pays salries for clinic workers, Tongogagra must find a lawyer to state that position in court.

“We role is just to build clinics and the Government employs and pays salaries. We built Zvamaunje Clinic and Government pays salaries for workers. Mashoko is supposed to sue Government for any payments due to her and not Tongogara RDC,” said Kapeta.https://masvingomirror.com/
