Dhlumo elected Chipinge Town Council chairman

CHIPINGE- Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Chipinge Urban Ward 5 councillor Kingstone Dhlumo is the new Town Council Chairperson.
Dhlumo, a former TelOne employee and now director of Kingstone Investments, a transport and logistics company, was unanimously elected yesterday.
His deputy is CCC Ward 6 Councillor Takesure Mafaune. Chipinge town has eight wards, and CCC scooped all eight seats. The party also has a youth quota councillor. Zanu PF has one councillor who came in through the women’s quota.
Chipinge District Development Coordinator (DDC) William Mashava presided over the election.
Dhlumo said he would engage stakeholders and map a way forward on all prioritised projects.
Ward 8 Councillor Crispen Rambu was elected Environment Management and Technical Services committee chairperson. His Ward 2 counterpart, Sarah Marwa, was elected Planning and Land Management Committee chairperson.
The Health, Education, Housing and Community Services committee will be chaired by Ward 3 Councillor Nzwananai Thomas Sithole. Nothando Moyo (youth quota) chairs the Audit Committee.
Dhlumo chairs the General Purposes Committee, and Ward 1 Councillor Cherechedzai Katsvata chairs the Finance Committee.
