Destitute Chiredzi man appealing for wheelchair

CHIREDZI – A homeless Chiredzi man, Trycourse Zimano (61), who is a disabled and survives on begging is appealing for a wheelchair and foodstuffs to sustain himself.
Zimano told The Mirror that his old wheelchair broke down and it can’t be repaired.
He said that well-wishers carry him from one point to the next when he is begging.
“I was bewitched when I was a little boy, and when I came to Chiredzi 25 years ago someone gave me a wheelchair but now the chair is very old and it’s difficult to travel on, someone took it claiming to go and fix it but the person did not come back with feedback “.
Zimano’s relatives stay at Mashoko, Devure area but they do not have funds to help him.
“I am appealing for a new wheelchair because the old one is worn out. I have been using it for nearly 10 years. I am homeless and survive on begging. I sleep on the veranda at Chingwangwa Supermarket.
“Lately I have been struggling to get food because I can’t move around. I’m appealing for a wheelchair, foodstuffs and possibly a home to stay at,” he said.Well wishers can contact The Mirror helpline on 0716 895 703/ 0775691380.
