MASVINGO-The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is holding curriculum review consultation meetings across all schools on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The consultations will culminate in a new seven-year curriculum from 2023-2030.
A statement by the Ministry on May 16, 2023, confirms the development.

Acting Masvingo Provincial Education Director Shylatte Mhike said district Government departments and parastatal heads have consultations at the Ministry’s district offices.
The provincial parastatal and Government department heads’ consultation will be at Masvingo Polytechnic.

The curriculum under review is the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) introduced in 2015 to shift from an academic to a technical and vocational component curriculum that equips pupils with knowledge, attitudes and skills for life and work.
One of the features of the CBC is the Continuous Assessment Learning Activities (CALA) which completed its seven-year circle in 2022.
