CHIREDZI – Chiredzi Town Council has closed its town house offices after a relative to one of its employees who recently visited the offices tested positive to Covid-19; Town Secretary Charles Muchatukwa has told The Mirror.
Muchatukwa said the temporary closure of the offices is a precautionary measure taken to allow thorough fumigation of the premises. He also said the employee who works in the audit department was advised to stay at home until tests are done on her to ascertain if she is also positive to coronavirus.

“We temporarily closed our town house offices yesterday after a relative to one of our employees tested positive to Covid-19. It was established that the relative once visited our offices so a fumigation exercise is underway and the offices will be re-opened on Monday. The employee was advised to stay at home and tests will be carried out to ascertain if she is also not infected.

“All employees based at the offices are working from home at the meantime and we hope by Monday things will be back to normal” said Muchatukwa. https://masvingomirror.com
