The ZRP national Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi is set to issue a statement in the next few hours on travel restrictions during the intensified Covid-19 lockdown which will officially begin tomorrow.

Nyathi told The Mirror that he was attending a commander’s meeting where the issue of how essential services workers will go about their duties in the next 30 days where there will be intensified lockdown to reduce the spread of the lethal virus which has spiked in the second wave.

During the first lockdown in 2020 essential services workers were allowed to travel on duty as long as they produced letters of exemptions from their employers.
