Cop wins Cop of the Year Award record 4 times

ZVISHAVANE – Policing seems to be his second nature. Detective Sergeant Vincent Sibanda of Zvishavane CID has scooped the Mimosa cop of the Year award for a record four times. He was crowned the 2020 Cop of the Year at a function held at Zvishavane Police camp officer on Friday.
The award is sponsored by Mimosa Platinum Mine and the objective is to recognise and acknowledge Police officers who are outstanding in their efforts to reduce crime in Zvishavane District.
In order to land the award Sibanda won several monthly awards whose cumulative points are considered for the grand yearly award. He won the 2020 Cop of the Year Award after winning the July 2020 monthly award, 2nd runner-up June 2020, won the April 2020, came first in February 2020, third in November 2019, second in October 2019 ad third in September 2019.
This is the fourth time that he wins the award after snatching the same award in 2017, 2018 and in 2019.
Sibanda walked away with a fridge and USD $100 for scooping the top price plus money from the monthly awards. Sibanda said he was overwhelmed by his achievement.
