Masvingo – The three parties that were sued yesterday over the water crisis at Ngomahuru Psychiatric Hospital in Masvingo have acted.
Running water was restored at the institution at 9pm yesterday, several hours after former MDC MP Tichaona Mharadza filed a lawsuit against the Minister of Heath and Child Care, Constantino Chiwenga, Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) and the Zimbabwe Water Authority (ZINWA).
Ngomahuru Medical superintendent Dr Parirenyatwa Maramba confirmed the development to The Mirror. The water crisis had forced the hospital’s 200 inmates to bath in the nearby Magwangwadza River.
Mharadza was represented in the case by Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights lawyer, Martin Mureri of Matutu and Mureri Legal Practitioners. https://masvingomirror.com
