CHIVI-The Minister of Local Government and Public Works, July Moyo has approved Chivi Council (RDC) US$6, 537 427 budget for 2023.

The Chief Executive Officer Tariro Matavire confirmed the development to The Mirror.
According to the 2023 project list provided by Chivi’s Finance Director, Nyembesi Dunira the budget is a continuation of the projects that have been there on the 2022 budget.

“We appreciate the quick approval of the budget since this will enable us to immediately embark on our planned projects and complete them on time”, said Matavire.
Key items in the budget include the completion of classroom blocks and staff houses for storm damaged schools and others under construction which include Tugwi Mukosi Secondary, Rubweruchena and Madyangove Secondary Schools.

The local authority will also purchase a supervision vehicle and install solar systems as well as street lights.
