Chivi man demands unprotected sex from sex worker

CHIREDZI – A man from Chivi has appeared at Chiredzi Regional Magistrates Court after he forced a sex worker to have sex with him without a condom.
Although the two had agreed on having sex for ZAR200, Peter Gwabvira of Runesu Village, Chief Nemauzhe, Chivi turned around and refused to use a condom. He also allegedly demanded his money back after the act and robbed the complainant of her mobile phone.
Regional Magistrate Vimbai Mutukwa remanded Gwabvira in custody to April 8, 2022.
The State said on March 23, 2024, at Madhimoni Bottle Store, Runde Bussiness Centre, Gwabvira paid 200 Rands for sex to the complainant and they agreed to have sex at the latter’s room.
Gwabvura then insisted on having the act in his car which was parked at the business centre but on reaching the car they found Gwabvira’s friends inside.
They proceeded to the nearby bush.
Although the two had agreed to use condoms, Gwabvira refused to use protection and he produced a knife and threatened to kill Matumbe if she did not have sex with him. He forced the complainant to have unprotected sex with her.
The following day the complainant reported the case at Ngundu Police Station and a medical examination was done at Mwenezi District Hospital.
