Chivhu FC loses to Kotwa

Chikomba—Chivhu Fc was stunned by spirited Kotwa FC as they lost their first home match in ZIFA Mash East Division two league. 

Chivhu FC has been leading the table this season and they have lost only two matches this season after going 10 down in front of their home fans on Sunday this week at Garwe Stadium. 

About one thousand fans had turned out for the match which kicked off at 3 pm. Kotwa FC held on to their slender 1-0 win to see of pressure from spirited visitors.

Chivhu FC are currently 36 points on top of the summit with 1 point followed by FC Hunters Chivhu FC has so far played 16 games.

Chivhu FC coach Herny Zindoga said he was pleased by the players’ performance during the first half but it was not our day. He expressed hope that the team will play D1 football from next season. 

“We started on a high note but luck was not on our side, it was just a bad day in the office. It was not our day but we gave them a better run, it was a thrilling game,” said Zindoga.

Chivhu FC is set to play there next game on September 25, 2022 in Beatrice.
