CHIREDZI – Taurai Dhliwayo, the School Development Committee (SDC) chairman for Mleme Primary School is no more.
He died at a Hospital in Harare on Wednesday night from injuries he sustained in a road accident on Thursday last week.
Dhliwayo was one of the two passengers in a Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education vehicle that was being driven by Chiredzi Schools’ Inspector Norman Sharara who is also the Zanu PF District Coordinating Committee (DCC) vice chairperson for Chiredzi.
They were coming from Rupangwana in Chiredzi for a workshop on Thursday last week. Dhliwayo died at a Harare Hospital where he was transferred to from Chiredzi.
The death was confirmed by Mleme head Tawanda Muchakambi.
The accident happened along Ngundu – Tanganda road near Palm Tree Place at around 10pm. The second passenger was Tapiwa Chigodora, an accountant with the Ministry of Education.
