Chiredzi – Top Chiredzi Businessman Graham Murindagomo has landed a top post at the National Association of Agriculture Show Societies of Zimbabwe (NAASSZ) where he was elected treasurer last month.
Murindagomo who is also ZETDC consumer advisory committee vice chairperson said he was happy to be part of the executive.
The elections were held on June 18, 2021 during a virtual Annual General Meeting. The next elections will be after two years.
The soft spoken Murindagomo who has been a member of Lowveld Show Society since 2011 said his vision is to come up with quality exhibitions.
“We want to create a platform conducive for serious trading activities. Gone are the days when people would go to the show for entertainment reasons. Show goers must scout and identify prospective markets and suppliers and seal meaningful business contracts at our shows.
“For example a farmer coming to showcase his best crop should not just sit and wait for viewers and judges and then win a plough or wheelbarrow and go back home. That’s not enough. We expect one to secure long term contracts with seed companies or food packaging companies. I will also be obliged to achieve NAASSZ objectives,” said Murindagomo.
