Chipinge man arrested with ivory

CHIPINGE – Hamufari Gwerevende (44) of Matsikire Village under Chief Chimutsa in Chipinge has been remanded in prison after he was allegedly found in possession of ivory.

He pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Poterai Gwenzira who heard the case at the weekend remanded the accused to April 5, 2021.

The State represented by Timothy Katsande said on February 13, 2021 at around 4pm information was received to the effect that the accused was in possession of a pair of ivory at his homestead and was intending to sell it.

Detectives went there pretending to be buyers and they trapped the accused before arresting him. https://masvingomirror.com
